Goodwill freaking ROCKS.
Yes, you read that right. Allison is actually saying something nice about Goodwill.
I went to Goodwill on the fly and to say I SCORED is an understatement.
For some reason they had tons of brand-new merchandise from Target. I asked if Target just donated it all and the Goodwill lady told me that Goodwill purchases huge lots of unsellable lots from Target (ie: damaged goods).
LUCKY ME!
So, what did I walk away with?
Huge tray:
Vinyl Coo-coo clock kit:
FIVE rolls of vinyl for $.99 each!
I got one each of the chairs and phone booths, and then THREE of the huge pop art phone.
And a brand new large roll of cork.
Large tin summer bucket (it’s hard to tell, but this bucket is the size of a laundry basket!)
Charger for $.79. My mom is collecting white plates for a plate wall she’s going to do so I snatched this up and will give it a coat of white paint for her.
Wicker tissue box.
My FAVORITE purchase of the year! I found this brand-new bench for $79! The brand-new Target price tag says $259. S-C-O-R-E.
And finally, I found 8 (EIGHT!!) LAMPS:
I got these FOUR lamps for 20 bucks total. (Both pics are horrible, sorry.)
These two lams were $8 each:
And these two were $6 each:
We are obviously already using these two lamps. 😉 Kinsey promptly added her Minnie Mouse ears to the top of her lamp. I’m sure it’s a fire hazard.
I’ve never found so many fabulous scores at Goodwill. I still can’t believe it!
Keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see what I do with all these fun things!

Which one did you go to? I usually check out each location once or twice a week so that I find the best stuff. I recently bought a $150 Kuerig brewing system for $20 in an un-opened box from their Target selection!! It’s amazing the things that you can find if you’re just willing to look!
Your finds are great and I especially like the tray
Happy Tuesday!
Sandy says
Wow!!! I wonder if my local Goodwill does the same thing? I’ll have to go check it out. That bench you got is awesome… I’ve been looking for a new one, and they closed down the garden section at my local Target, so I was out of luck 🙁 Fabulous finds!
Calamity Anne says
I can’t believe it either!!! Please tell me this Goodwill is in Houston…though something tells me…NOT!
Veronnica says
How fun! The last time I visited Goodwill I noticed they had a bunch of stuff from Target too. I’ll have to go check it out again!
Cassie says
Yes! My Goodwill also has Target stuff…it’s usually repackaged or damaged in some way…but sometime it is just perfect!
I picked up some of those wall decor tubes from Target when they were marked down to $3!!! I LOVE them!!!!
=)
Sunny's Life in Rehab says
Woman, what do you drive that you were able to get all of that fabulous loot home???
Mandy says
what a SCORE!!! those vinyl decals would mail out great for a giveaway….just sayin’……
GREAT FINDS!!
Kai says
My Goodwill does that too – but I’ve never gotten so lucky – maybe I go on the wrong days. My Goodwill is also really bad about overpricing. They’ll have the Target pricetag on their for $1.24 on Clearance and then have the Goodwill pricetag on it for $9. It usually only inspires me to go check out Target.
Melissa says
Woo-hoo! I’ve never been able to find anything like that at any thrift store but I’m going to to give them another shot and and see if I can find a treasure or two for us!
Many Blessings,
M.
PS – I love your blog and find continual inspiration every time I come here!

Leanne says
Wow girl! I am soooooo jealous! You totally scored. Can I go shopping with you next time? I always find better things when I go with someone.
JenT says
Well your work is done!!! See..I would’ve have made this like 5 different posts!! Congrats on your loot!
Amanda @ House Revivals says
You definitely scored big! Our Goodwill never prices a lamp below fourteen dollars, and sells shades separately for between about four dollars and twenty-four dollars apiece! I’m feeling pretty jealous right now. 😉
brandi says
I’m so jealous! You had a great shopping day!
Rhiannon says
That bench is a TOTAL score all alone!
Tammy Hebert says
OMG you scored big time. Target it great but Target at Goodwill prices- well must have been heaven sent.

RJ says
Um jealous much?! Wow! Not only do I wish we had Target, but a Goodwill that buys from Target. Great finds!
Jennifer says
Oh my goodness… score is right!! Awesome finds. Makes me want to check out Goodwill soon! 🙂
Lorie says
Um, which one were you at? And next time you score like that CALL ME! 😛
Kyra says
WOW~~~ SCORE is right!! So lucky!! Nice finds.
Kelly says
I have seen some Target items at my local Goodwill – broken or incomplete items, nothing nice.
I seriously gave up on thrift stores around me. They price everything high, and the stores are cluttered with too many items that really should just go in the garbage.
Stephanie says
You lucky DOG! Score is an understatement. If it wasn’t raining out right now I might just go down to our local Goodwill just to see if they too got some Target stuff…but Southern California people are hideous drivers when it rains, so it is best to stay home.
Madigan at madiganmade says
Wow. You totally scored! I love that outdoor bench.
Alecia says
Now I know why our local Goodwill stinks: There is no Target around here- I know TOTALLY LAME!
Gina says
Which Goodwill did you go to? I would love to have even the chance of finding a cute little bench like that at such a great price. The Goodwill I have been to in Austin was dirty and did not have as great of finds as yours.
Dani says
I’m so stinkin’ jealous of you right now. I feel like taking my computer over to our Goodwill, showing them your post and saying “see, it happens! make it happen here please!”
seriously though, good snags! I’m beyond impressed (the jealousy is fading).

You did score big time!! Good for you! Love the lamps and that vinyl is terrific!! I am going to have to go more often to my local Goodwill store and check it out.
Can’t wait to see what you are going to do with these fab pieces.

AWESOME!!! I’ll admit it . . . I’m jealous. Those are some incredible finds. You’ve got me hankering for a Goodwill run, now.
Angie says
SCORE!! I never never never EVER have good luck at Goodwill! You did goooood girl!
maggie @ sidebysideblog says
LUCKY!!! i might have to go straight to goodwill after work now!!!
i’m really envious of that bench!
Mary says
Awesome! Which Goodwill did you hit up? I am very picky when I go to Goodwill because some times their prices are redonkulous! But I have found a few items I’ve put to good use (once they’ve had a fresh coat of spray paint) lately!
We should go together one day!
Pam says
Your Goodwill store is SO much better than my local one! Mine mostly has old clothes and a few books/movies. I did check out the tiny houseware section they have the last time I was in there to see if they had anything I could turn into a potential project, but there wasn’t anything there worth buying at all. Maybe I’ll get some good deals the next time I go 🙂
Caro says
Goodwills totally is YMMV… the one we had in MEdford Oregon was AWWWWWWESome111 The one we have here in Columbia SC, even with the Target stuff, stinks royally. The Medford one, though, was GREAT- new target stuff often, great deals, new items. Most of what we owned at that point came from there (tee hee.) Now… the one here gets the same Target items, and then tries to sell them for what they didn’t sell for at retail in Target. He-LLO!!! der… not working. But…. sigh… I sorrowfully miss my old Goodwill….
Les says
Shut the front door! I hate you. No I dont. I hate my little ghetto Goodwill. Had I been there I would have said “hello” then bonked (I made it up….or did I) you on the head while stealing your cart full of bling. Just sayin’
Melissa says
I know I’m way late on commenting on this, but I just wanted to say that I worked at Target for 15 years, and we donated stuff to Goodwill on a regular basis. There was a huge box in the receiving area, and anything that could be donated went into it. I forget what the “rules” were, but some things couldn’t be donated. It was a lot of returned/defective merchandise, but a large amount of things came from what Target calls “salvage”. When an item goes on clearance, it works its way through the markdowns (15, 30, 50, 75 % off), and anything not sold at the end of it gets pulled from the salesfloor and donated. Nothing damaged or defective about it. Probably way more than you wanted to know about the Target/Goodwill relationship, but there you go.
PS…LOVE your blog!!
