My trip to Magnolia Market at The Silos

I am finally home from our road trip to Austin, Texas! We are originally from Austin, so we go back occasionally to see family and friends. During this trip back “home” I finally made the trek to Waco to visit Magnolia Market at the Silos. Yes, it was amazing. No, I didn’t meet Chip and Joanna.

I went with my sister and one of my besties, Beth. She used to blog at Free Stylin’ so if you’ve been reading House of Hepworths for a long time, you might remember her.

You can see the silos for several blocks as you pull up. It’s really cool to see these big feed silos just sitting there in the middle of downtown. Before Magnolia, they would have seemed so out of place, but now they are a huge part of downtown.

When we arrived the very first thing we did was get in line at the Silos Baking Company for cupcakes. Beth said that the line gets very long throughout the day and that we should grab our cupcakes first.

After waiting in line for about 15 minutes I purchased two cupcakes and a Silos Bakery t-shirt for my daughter who loves to bake. The flavors I chose were a seasonal Strawberry Lemonade and The Chocolatier. Both were really yummy and came wrapped in cute parchment paper cups.

Clearly I am ridiculously happy to be here!

I didn’t get a ton of pictures from inside Magnolia Market, mainly because it was so crowded. There were so many people! Here are a few pictures that I did manage to take.

I thought this wall arrangement just inside the Magnolia Market doors was really pretty:

Outside Magnolia Market is a huge open lawn. In fact, the lawn is pretty much the center of the compound. It is surrounded by Magnolia Market, the Silos, picnic tables, food trucks, and the Magnolia Seed Company. The Silos Baking Company is tucked off to the side near the Silos.

Surprisingly, to me at least, was that their new restaurant, Magnolia Table, is on the other end of town, no where near The Silos. For some reason I guess I just assumed it was on the same compound.

In typical Beth fashion, she made a new friend and sat on a breezy swing and chatted while my sister and I went around taking pictures of everything. 🙂

Wanna know what I purchased? While at Magnolia Market I went a little overboard and bought a few too many souvenirs. My reasoning is that I live in Denver, and I probably won’t be headed back to Magnolia any time soon. I purchased a #demoday shirt which I can’t wait to wear as I continue to renovate my house, a Texas Forever t-shirt because I’m Texan and proud of it, a Silos Baking Co shirt for my daughter who wants to own her own bakery someday, a Magnolia hoodie because I live in Colorado and wear hoodies 10 months a year, a Magnolia hat, a Magnolia Linen candle, and Magnolia coffee mug.

After The Silos we drove over to Harp Design Company. I didn’t take a ton of pictures of Harp Design Co because honestly, it was so freaking hot that day and I was tired and over it by that point. Ha! I don’t have a great threshold for being sweaty and overheating. I did take a few pics inside Harp though and here they are:

Here’s a fun artsy pictures of The Silos. One fun fact that I learned while there is that The Silos are presumably empty. They didn’t incorporate them as part of their shop. They just sit there as a cool looking backdrop.
