Did you know you can buy these little plants at Dollar Tree?
Oh, sure, they are pretty fugly, but the actual little plant at the top is cute. And kinda fuzzy.
In the end I decided that no amount of tweaking could make the planter part look good, so I checked to see if I could remove the plant itself.
A quick little tug and that plant was outta there!
Now I’ve got this little sprig. Is that a word? Sprig?
Anyway, now that I think about it, I could probably have gotten a little sprig of plant for way cheaper than a dollar at a craft store. Ha! O-well. I still like the texture of this one from Dollar Tree.
I stuck it inside a vase I bought at a dollar store two years ago.
And now it sits on my newly painted shelves.
Do you see it? Let’s play Where’s Waldo?!
Give up?
It’s on the left shelf, 3rd shelf down.
Grand total, $2. A dollar for the plant, and a dollar for the vase. And I think it looks pretty nice if I do say so myself.

“Sprig” is indeed a word, and your little plant is indeed a sprig. So there ya go!
I like your bookshelf arrangement, including the sprig. Looks very organized, which is in vast contrast to my bookshelf at home.
Best,
Kimberly

Very cute! I use the word “sprig” all the time! Although that doesn’t mean it’s a word… I make it words all the time! ๐

Hmmmm, wondering what the blue cube looking piece is on the right side 3rd shelf down? Would the fuzzy green plant fit inside?

that’s a great idea. Maybe I should try to get a small plant like that. I’m actually a plant-killer. ๐ but maybe one small one from the dollar store might work…maybe!

I work at a groupd home for adults with developmental disabilities and every weekend they like to shop at Dollar Tree to stretch their spending money. I have been following you for a while and I see this store in a whole new light and love to get my decorating items so cheaply!! Keep up the good work!!

I’m loving your bookshelf! So many pretty things on there.
Don’t you love dollar shop finds? A bunch of my artificial plants are from similar sources. (Don’t tell anyone, but it took me a while to find the plant in the picture.. lol!)
