Hello! I’m Rebekah from Potholes and Pantyhose.
I have effectively corralled my weirdo interests into one blog while I photograph and write about my adventures touring with rock bands, remodeling one of our rentals or our own home, sewing a cute new outfit, or creating a yummy recipe, amongst other things.
I had to rebuild my site recently, so I was excited that Allison from House of Hepworth’s asked me to share a couple of projects with you. Hopefully, I can make some new friends and catch up with the old ones.
It was hard to narrow my projects down, but here are three projects that I hope you’ll love!
Broken Mirror Art.
I love recycling discarded objects from our remodeling projects and then creating something beautiful (and free) for my home. Learn how to make this Broken Mirror Art for your home.
Blue Blazin’ Bag
I can hardly bring myself to discard an item without re-purposing it first. I re-used a coffe-stained blue blazer and a moth-eaten sweater, joining them together in holy sewingness matrimony and creating a very useful lined tote bag that I now call “Blue Blazin’ Bag“.
DiY Spinning Composter
I love getting my hands dirty in the garden. I wanted a composter, but didn’t want to pay the premium price the big box stores were asking. So, with a recycled water barrel and a few extra pieces, I made my own composter. And, it spins-no pitchfork required. Boo yeah.
I would love for you to stop by sometime and say hello if you feel a kinship to my weirdness. If nothing else, I’ll keep you entertained.
Thanks, Allison for letting me be a part of your blog for today! You rule.

I absolutely LOVE the broken mirror project!! Mine would never turn out like I’d want it and then I have to break about 6 more and that would mean 49 years MORE of bad luck and I can’t live that much longer….I think I’ll just have to totally admire this gorgeous one!! I would LOVE one in our master bath, though. We have one table in there that’s totally mirrored…it would be beautiful in there! I’d probably look a lot better in it, too!! 🙂

Cannot even have good thoughts about composting! Did that many years ago and moved on since then but it’s certainly a good thing and I relate but I rushed past looking b/c I don’t want to think of all that hard work I did outside that ended up making me very sick because of working outside where I was allergic to everything and had no idea I was killing myself working outside. I’ll stick with indoor projects now. I don’t even do those any more-just write music to play now and read great blogs like this and am addicted to Mahjong. Also a HUGE HUGE Longhorn fan. Grew up in Austin-so of course I love the Longhorns!!
Great blog!!
